Calvin Hedman has over forty years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. As Managing Partner of Hedman Partners LLP, he is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance and client service. Calvin’s industry experience includes manufacturers and distributors, service, real estate development, entertainment, construction, retail, high tech, software development, insurance, escrow and publishing and printing. He also has expertise in auditing employee benefit plans. In addition to providing audit and tax services to his clients, Calvin provides consulting expertise in the areas of strategic planning, estate planning, shareholder buyout negotiations, and business acquisition structuring and planning.

As Managing Director of Hedman M&A Advisors (a boutique investment banking firm) for the past 18 years, Calvin represents middle market business owners in the sale of their business.

Previously, Calvin was a partner in the Los Angeles office of Grant Thornton where he provided services to a select group of clients ranging from closely held companies to prestigious international corporations. While at Grant Thornton, Calvin served numerous SEC clients and handled initial public offerings on their behalf. His preference for working with growing entrepreneurial companies has led him to focus on providing services to closely held businesses. This includes the development of business strategies that promote growth and profitability for his clients.

Calvin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Accounting option from California State University Northridge. He holds a CPA license in California and Florida. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Calvin is also a Certified Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor (“CM&AA”) through the Alliance of Mergers & Acquisitions Advisors (“AM&AA”). To represent middle market business owners in the sale of their business, Calvin holds a FINRA license and a California Real Estate Brokers License.

Calvin serves as co-chair of the Board of Directors Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation.

Donald (Don) Kimball is Executive Vice President – Valencia Operations for FivePoint. In this role, Kimball oversees entitlement, operational, financial, and administrative activities for FivePoint Valencia, taking on the challenge of becoming among the first communities of its size in the nation to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions and set a new standard for sustainability and environmentally friendly cities.

Kimball, who began his career as a CPA, has been part of the management team for FivePoint (initially with Newhall Land which is now part of FivePoint’s ownership), has more than 35 years of increasing responsibility guiding the development of the award-winning community of Valencia. Prior positions with the company include being Community President for the Valencia community for 4 years. Before that, Kimball was Executive Vice President – Operations and Financial Affairs for 7 years following being Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for many years, including while Newhall Land was publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

Kimball holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science Degree, Business Administration and Management, from California State University at Northridge (CSUN).

Kimball has a long history of community service spanning 3 decades in the Santa Clarita Valley volunteering his time for a variety of local non-profit boards and civic organizations.
